NZAM Research Trip Commentary – April

The timing of the trip couldn’t have been better given that markets had started the year so badly on the back of little changed news, hence we were keen to hear whether managers’ interpretation of markets and events had changed since our last trip 6 months previously. Most importantly it gave us the opportunity to continue research into some new and interesting strategies and managers that we believed have the potential to be well suited for the investment environment we see over the next few years. We anticipate that this summary of our underlying managers’ view of the investment world will assist in reinforcing why the introduction of some of these strategies should assist us to generate attractive non-correlated positive returns moving forward.
